- Booking mix-up, but excellent customer service saved the dayThere was some kind of disconnect with our online reservation at the Hampton Inn, but the receptionist went above and beyond to fix the problem and get us settled in two rooms. The breakfast was also really good. The only thing I wasn't a fan of were the eggs (but hey, I'm spoiled with fresh eggs at home!). I did learn hotels (at least the staff) are not fans of the online discount sites and gave us a tip. Most of the time you can get the same deal by calling the hotel. Not online. - This our stop for the night it’s close enough to the airport that one that fly’s in can speed the night with us. Or if you want to pick them up in the morning on your way back on the road. We all love the rooms which are Clean, friendly staff and we love the breakfast bar that’s included! Plus get a good nights sleep no loud noises. - I've been a Hilton honors member since November 8th, 2002. The check in at this location was great. The room was okay. The bed is hard as a rock. But the checkout is awful. I wanted to put it on my company debit card. - During my recent stay, I unfortunately encountered several issues that greatly impacted my experience. Firstly, the front desk representative, Ross, made multiple errors during check-in, resulting in my company's reservation being cancelled and charges being made to my personal credit card instead. Additionally, despite reserving a room in advance, I was informed upon arrival that it was not yet available due to staffing shortages. I was subsequently upgraded to a different room, but the air conditioning system was extremely noisy, causing discomfort and sleep disruption. I also faced difficulties in resolving these issues with the hotel staff and the assistant general manager. Despite being assured that charges would be reversed, they still appear as pending on my credit card. This situation has caused significant inconvenience, as the charges have affected the funds available for my planned activities during the week. Furthermore, the constant noise from the adjacent housekeeping and maintenance rooms in my new room further added to my dissatisfaction. - This Hilton needs help Side entry doors were exit only (mechanics not working to enter building) A/C was subpar Food was subpar. Also selections of food. - Very nice hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The bathroom has an extra shelf which is amazing when sharing with someone. Plenty of room for all the stuff!! - Stopped for the night on our way to Myrtle Beach. Perfect location, right off the highway. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, variety of items for breakfast. - As a Lifetime Diamond member, I go out of my way to stay at Hilton properties whenever I can, this trip was no exception. The staff upon check in was very nice and the room, upon first glance seemed nice, but as I was settling in for the night, I noticed what I thought was a gnat flying around. After closer inspection, I realized it was a flea and there was more than one. It was late and i figured there was nothing to do at that late hour. The next morning I checked out even though I had planned on staying two nights. When I told the front desk clerk that the room had fleas, she chuckled, and never even offered an apology. - I always hate rating things like hotels. What makes a hotel better or worse as long as it's not disgusting in your room? I would say everything was "fine". - As someone who travels a lot for work, I was very disappointed with my stay here. I hardly ever write reviews but felt inclined to do so for this hotel. Our room had a very strong mildew smell and felt very damp. After inspecting a little further there was water damage in the bathroom and mold all over the window treatment. I notified the front desk and after multiple complaints, I was told they would come “refresh” the room, which they did. The refresh helped very little. I asked to be moved rooms but was told they were sold out. The more frustrating part was that I was told that they would make a note in the system for us to be moved the following day. When I tried again the following day, there was no note left and the new worker informed me that they were still sold out and they couldn’t do anything about our room. - Don't stay here This hotel needs a major renovation. It was gross. Our room smelled like dog pee and mildew. It was dark, dirty, and old. I did not want to put my bag down on any surface or sleep in the bed. We stayed here after our flight was canceled and we needed a place to sleep near the airport. - Disappointing This hotel stay was by far one of my worst stays with the Hilton franchise. The hotel was in the worst shape, we were not notified of a renovation until we checked in. In addition, the bathroom was disgusting, things were coming apart in the room and when I checked out the representative didn’t seem to care about our experience even though we showed her the pictures of the room. - Decent place to stay I stayed at this hotel while visiting the ACC basketball tournament since it's close to the Greensboro Coliseum. The location is perfect, right by the Interstate and close to everything I needed in Greensboro. I got to the hotel later at night after the late game, and went straight to my room. The room was fine. The next morning I was woken up by the sound of what sounded like a sawzaw at my head and it was so loud. I wish I had known they were doing construction because I really would have liked to sleep a little later. I went to get breakfast and the breakfast was fine. I asked to be moved, and the lady moved me to another room. The second room was fine as well. The one thing with the showers, is they have a texture to them along with an off color, and they feel dirty. There was no visible dirt but the appearance is that they are very dirty. It's just how they're designed. I did not like them at all. Also, I always back my car in. It had rained, and they have not mowed the grass. I had to stand in tall wet grass to unload my car. I could have pulled in to avoid this problem, but I NEVER pull in parking spots. Outside of the construction noise, shower texture and tall grass, this is a good hotel in a good location. - Good, but could have been better. Pro: The staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The Hotel was clean and the breakfast area was well maintained throughout the breakfast hours, with standard but adequate offerings. Con: The rooms are in need of some serious TLC. The ceiling in our room had obviously not been painted in some time and was stained. The toilet in the bathroom was loose and rocked. The safety bar next to the toilet was loose at one end, and the spigot on the tube was loose, making it very difficult to engage the diverter valve for the shower. The combination bedspread/sheet was torn on the underside which caused the quilting to shift, making it lumpy and inefficient. And for a long stay, the closet and drawer space were inadequate, requiring us to work out of suitcases for 7 nights. - AWFUL STAY. NEVER AGAIN BEWARE. We were traveling with our dog and booked this hotel. I went to Hotel Info to look up their pet policy. Under Hotel Policies it says pet friendly but doesn’t mention a 75.00 fee. I see the Home Page says it, but seeking information on the property I went straight to Hotel Info. The pages are inconsistent regarding a pet fee. 80.00 is nearly the price of the room. I had a complaint about this and the GM never bothered to call me back. I had to call corporate. They got me in touch with a manager there. This lady practically hung up on me. I used to love Hampton and stayed there frequently. This one is a disappointment. Not up to standards you expect from a Hampton. This is an older property and it shows. The breakfast room had old and wilted oranges and a paltry amount of old dried fruit for the oatmeal. - Stay was fine I stayed at this property for 1 night prior to an early flight. It's an older Hampton property in the traditional layout. My room was fine. There had been some updates but some of them weren't executed well......poor caulking, unmatched joints, etc. The highlight of the stay was the early morning desk clerk when I checked out. - Outstanding Hotel Experience Staff was exceptionally friendly. Our room wasn’t ready so we were upgraded to a king room. Everything was spotless. Beds and bedding very comfortable and towels were first rate. Even water pressure was excellent. Breakfast was very bountiful including waffles, bacon, eggs and assorted muffins and bread plus the usual cereal and yogurt. - On Premise Staff Professional and Friendly Be careful if you book a flight that comes in after midnight! In March 2022 when I was planning our trip, I called to be certain we would be able to get a ride to the hotel when we arrived shortly after midnight (if all went accordingly and it did). I was told that despite the time and the fact that they stopped their shuttle at 10 or 11, we could call them and they would call an Uber or Lyft for us and they would cover the cost. A week before we arrived I began trying to reach a manager or assistant manager to confirm but could not make contact for a number of various reasons (no direct access to management .. redirected phone calls led to nothing, emails led to dead end, etc., etc). I also wanted to confirm that I had made the reservation for the appropriate date (I made it for the date, after midnight that we would arrive - which at the time of my original fact finding call I was told I made it for the correct date). When we got in at 1 a.m to the hotel, our reservation could not be found. Yet I had the print out in my hand. End of story, she had to cancel our reservation then rebook us while we waited at the desk. We finally got to bed around 2 a.m. They did give us a late check out. Staff was as helpful and gracious as they could be. Rooms clean and comfy.
