What They're Saying...
Validated for Purpose Women's Ministry Inc. This was the absolutely best experience ever. Mariah was amazing along with Milly. We celebrated our 3 years here as a group - Validated for Purpose Women's Ministry Inc. annual Retreat. The rooms, food and location is 5 star service. I would recommend this location if you are looking for a one stop service.read moreread less
cynthia M.3/30/2026- Incredible stay as always. The hotel is in a convenient location, on a beautiful property, with an amazing golf course. The awesome hotel staff - they were helpful and attentive - took care of our entire family, from out of town, for four days! The hotel was clean, and comfortable (and beautiful!), and our afternoon at the pool (indoor and outdoor) was relaxing. Our time spent in the Lobby Bar (1808), as well as the time we spent at the Fire Pit/bar area, was a GREAT time!Tony Biddle and his staff do a fantastic job of making sure that the Grandover Resort is well run, and that the guests there feel welcome and well taken care of - we will definitely be back!read moreread less

Okay hotel, terrible customer service My family stayed here for 4 nights for a college tour and golf trip. While I appreciate that the space is nice (and the beds were comfy), the service was some of the worst we have dealt with in a long time. While everyone was basically nice, no one was at all helpful. We sat down for drinks in the bar one night and it took 30 minutes to be served. The food was terrible and extremely expensive ($9 for an Americano). No one knew how to book a tennis court, even though it is advertised as a golf and tennis club. And there were several times when I was told by the front desk that I needed to do something in the pro shop. And the pro shop told us we needed to do something at the front desk (it is a long walk between them and no one offered to pick up the phone). The pro shop told me I needed to call customer service to change a tee time. And customer service put me on hold to call the pro shop. I travel a lot for work and with my family and I dont think I have ever written a bad review before. But I thought it was worth pointing out so perhaps they can make a few changes. Don't stay here if service is something you care about.read moreread less
Anne H.3/25/2026- I initially booked this resort for a birthday getaway Grand experience package and chose to do the spa back in October. While I was so excited to stay at the resort I must say the resort itself is over hyped. The rooms are outdated and could definitely use some upgrades for the pricing of the packages. We checked in on a Wednesday night and I will say the customer service doesn’t match the pricing of the property or give a “resort” type of vibe. Our room key didn’t work upon arrival and the toilet stopped working while we were there. As I understand things happen I think if the money made is invested back into the rooms that would help a lot! The greeters at the door rarely spoke or attempted to even look at you walking in to provide a welcoming experience upon arrival. On Thursday we had our massages and let me say when we stepped foot in the spa area the energy was UNMATCHED!!! We were welcomed with a warm greeting upon arrival, and personally walked back to spa area by the supervisor Debra Stephen’s. She was very detailed of the spa inclusions, walked us around to the spa areas as well as walking us through using the lockers in the spa areas. She gave us her time by being patient and ensuring she provided us with an EXPERIENCE. I had Maggie as my massage therapist when I say she’s the BEST therapist I’ve had she is PHENOMENAL and so personable!!!! After we had our massages we had the pleasure to meet the Spa Director Jayme Bridge-Pass she followed up on our experience and literally walked around to show us the quiet room if we were interested in relaxing more. After showing us the quiet room she offered us something to drink as well as sharing with his upcoming promotions the spa would be having. I’ve been to a lot of spas and I can tell you not one time has a Director personally came out of their office to do ANYTHING but for her to take her time and personally talk to us won be over with that spa! Because of the spa we booked a 4 day stay and 2 days of an 80 minute massage. During that time I fell sick with a terrible cold literally 24 hours before check in time. I contacted the resort and of course grace wasn’t extended. We still went and checked in. We contracted the front desk and asked to speak with a manager and was told that we would have to stay all 4 days without being penalized as well as completing the spa services. My wife walked down and spoke with Jayme and let her know we were at the resort however I was sick and didn’t want to risk her staff getting sick. Jayme extended grace and allowed us to reschedule our massage appointment and protecting her staff without hesitation. This week tried the massage therapist Isaiah and he was absolutely phenomenal as well!!! I can’t brag on the spa enough!!! We live in Charlotte, NC and will continue to drive to Greensboro, NC as long as the spa is open just to have spa services. To be honest the spa area needs to be extended because of the phenomenal customer service they have, the phenomenal team they have and I’m sure with those combined that would open the door to the grow team as well offer new spa services!!! I hope that Jayme and her staff sees this review and I wish Jayme was the director of the property because she is compassionate and is truly understanding when things happen beyond our control.read moreread less
Latoya S.3/19/2026 - A beautiful hotel in downtown Greensboro. I had an absolutely incredible experience at the Spa from the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm and attentive staff into a serene, calming environment. I had a massage with Steven who was amazing and expertly worked out all my knots. The facility is spotless and beautiful, and I left feeling completely rejuvenated and refreshed. This is now my go-to spot for pampering! Highly recommend!"read moreread less

Latoya H.3/14/2026- I was here for a themed party so I wasn't able to view the rooms, but everything seemed top notch. I enjoyed being further away from things, keeping the hotel quiet and providing the sense of being unburdened. Beautiful wall art throughout the hotel as well. Definitely can't wait to go back and stay!!read moreread less
Detavius M.3/12/2026 - We have had a Feb weekend retreat here for the past 3 years and this year our experience was disappointing. To name a few: stains on "clean" unused by us fitted sheet, conditioner in shower was empty, and on a different floor other people with our retreat had a room beside drunk guests who were loud, sounded like they were wrestling and throwing items in the room, and knocking on their door that "they had more drinks." Security was called both two nights in a row about drunk guests. Couple asked to move rooms the first night and were told this could not be done. Drunk guests were asked to turn down music, but they didn't and nothing else was done. Also, we had reserved 19 rooms, but only 16 were available the day of check in. On the brighter side, food service during retreat and meetings were exceptional as usual. Front desk staff were professional and friendly. When we needed a clean fitted sheet it was brought quickly but we had to take off stained sheet and put new fitted sheet on. Small travel size conditioner was brought quickly even though the bottle in shower was not replaced. This is considered a 4-star resort and much about this experience was far from 4 stars.read moreread less
Barbie W.3/12/2026 - Love sneaking away to Grandover for special weekends! Once you are there, there's no reason to leave until time to check out. The food is great. Beautiful golf courses. The resort is laid out great. The bar and live music are perfectly located. Always a great trip. Thank you!read moreread less
Erica T.3/02/2026 - The check in process was lack luster. The girl simply said I see you checked in online and gave me a room key then asked if I knew were the elevators were and pointed me in that direction. I had to ask her what time check out was. Didn’t ask if I needed help with my bags, or share some of the amenity/ food options on site or anything. Really disappointed in that process, I just assumed I’d get more. I haven’t been here in years …… I probably won’t be back. The hotel might be worth the hype but honestly I wouldn’t really know, I was told nothing about what they have to offer and didn’t see anything in the room with the information either. Def lackluster!read moreread less
alana h.3/01/2026 - I just had a massage and it was one of the best I’ve had in my life (having had lots of massages!)While I didn’t stay a night (Gso resident here), I was impressed by the service and facility throughout my visit. A massage + enjoying the spa amenities all day is the best staycation and Greensboro’s best kept secret!read moreread less
Elizabeth B.2/27/2026 - Hotel was clean, desk staff welcoming. They had beautiful music playing in the restaurant/lounge in the evenings.Came for a girls weekend mainly to use the spa and services. Clean but dated, changing areas are small. Several areas under maintenance. We had to use the locker rooms in a different area different floor, than where the spa lockers where located. Spa staff seemed like they were going through the motions.Overall enjoyedread moreread less
k c.2/25/2026 - This is our second time to the Grandover! We have had excellent experiences both times that we stayed here. This time we had free full Breakfast coupons that they complementary gave to us and the breakfast was really good . We ordered room service and they were quick and the food was good and hot. The beds are very comfortable. I don't have any complaints. It is a very nice place to stay.!!read moreread less
Susan H.2/11/2026 - This review is for 5 Star service by Nicole in Reservations.I purchased a spa service and 1 night room as a "Holidate" for my daughter and SIL for Christmas. She not only cheerfully helped set it up, but gave me several ideas and tips, and threw in a complimentary check-in as well to make their special date even more special. She definitely showed the top-notch kind of service you would expect from this resort.Anne Marie Killips - Webster, NYread moreread less
Anne M.2/04/2026 - I visited The Spa at Grandover Hotel Resort today with my sister-in-law and my sisters. I had a 50-minute Swedish massage, and I’ll start with the positive—the massage therapist did a good job. He mentioned that I had a lot of tight areas and applied firm pressure to work out those kinks, which I appreciated. The massage itself was relaxing and effective. However, the overall spa experience was somewhat underwhelming. The locker room and bathroom area could definitely use improvement. The robe I was given looked dingy, as if it hadn’t been properly refreshed, and the bathroom had a musty smell—possibly from the carpet. It didn’t give the clean, luxurious feel you expect from a resort spa.We also used the sauna and steam room. The sauna itself was nice, but very small—maybe enough space for about four people. The steam room, unfortunately, felt more like a dirty shower than a relaxing spa amenity, and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The jacuzzi was under maintenance, which was disappointing. Additionally, the indoor pool is connected to the outdoor pool, so during the winter months the water was too cold to comfortably enjoy the indoor pool.We ate at the café as well. The menu was very basic, more of a standard lunch menu than spa dining. My sister-in-law had a BLT that she didn’t enjoy. My sister ordered barbecue wings, which had far too much sauce. I had a cold-cut chicken sandwich that was good, and the fries were good as well—but nothing particularly memorable.Overall, I’d rate the experience about a 6.5 out of 10. While the massage was good, the cleanliness, amenities, and overall ambiance didn’t quite meet expectations. My sister-in-law, who has experienced many different spas, said this was her least favorite so far. With improvements to cleanliness, facility upkeep, and the overall spa environment, this location could offer a much better experience—but as it stands, it fell short of a true luxury spa visit.read moreread less
Sonya S.2/04/2026 - The new AI customer service is irritating. It argues its a real agent when it's not. You can spend 15 minutes just saying the hotel name just to get transferred to wrong hotel. Finally got a live agent just to be told those who book packages for spa and hotel are out and leave a voicemail. Left 4 voicemail over 2 weeks with no response. Live agents at the hotel are all of 12 years old and don't know how to help. Just kept saying they aren't here. They will call you back tomorrow. Sounded like a broken records after the 4th person.read moreread less

"I just wanted to touch base with you and thank you and everyone at the Grandover for the most amazing wedding! Everything turned out beautiful and even more amazing than Chris and I had even thought it could be! We had such a great time and we both really appreciate the time and care you put into making sure our day was special! I’m actually a bit sad that we won’t be keeping in touch as we were this year! However, I guarantee that if we have any other events that need such a space, we will definitely keep you guys in mind! Everything was just great!
Please pass on many thanks to the wait-staff that helped during our reception, they did a wonderful job! Thank you once again and it was such a pleasure working with you to ensure Saturday was great!"
