Beautiful hotel and golf course! The Finial Restaurant is excellent!!

This place is an amazing. The hospitality is top notch. We pulled up to the resort, the valet service was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The check in was so smooth and accommodating. The room and the view was breathtaking. We spent time at the bar. Drinks are great. The live entertainment was so southern and welcoming. So we had to participate. The room service supervisor Mrs Kathryn made sure our food was served with the highest quality ingredients. The presentation of all our meals was so speechless. Once again, Yall must visit this resort and stop and see Mrs Kathryn and allow her and her staff to service you. Believe me you won’t regret it. I, Mr. Will, will be back.

Only went there for breakfast and it was delicious, also walked around the facilities and could not believe the beauty and elegance of the property. I will be going back hopefully soon.

Beautiful scenic locations at the property

To put it lightly the experience was horrible with the customer service here. Multiple issues with the food / late night menu as well as the bathroom counter being dirty upon arrival. Just horrible for the cost of a room for a night and we were met with the most uncaring staff that just wanted to brush off this horrible experience. I expected more from a luxury resort and for a special 30th birthday celebration that just was extremely lack luster and frankly cheap.

The staff was friendly as well as other customers staying. The whole atmosphere was amazing. There's lots to do even if you stay at the hotel itself. It's located somewhere that's beautiful but hidden away just enough traffic isn't a nightmare.

We have travelled all over the world but we have never had such welcoming service by hotel staff. Stephanie in reception was amazing in helping me to set up my surprise marriage proposal to my girlfriend. The service from all of the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful above and beyond. The spa was beautiful and the food and setting of the Finial restaurant was memorable. We can’t wait to return!

Grandover is not what it used to be. seems to be poorly kept.

Best hotel in Greensboro, indoor pool , bar , restaurant, golf course. Plenty of parking near the airport.

Stayed at the Grandover due to its proximity to Furnitureland south (this is a golf resort and we are not golfers). What an enjoyable experience. The room was a typical room but well appointed and clean.We had both dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant Finial and it was fantastic. Quality food, perfectly cooked and a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Have nothing bad to say, was a perfect stay.Would definitely stay again.

A very upscale, premiere resort with 2 first class golf courses and a wonderful restaurant. Was here for a 3 day golf tournament and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Comfortable rooms, great pool and hot tub. There is a spa and fitness facility on-site.

Conference was good and the guest rooms were clean. The shower head was angled in an oblique position. A soap dispenser by the sink would be preferred over wasteful bar soap that didn't disinfect as completely.

The resort is very nice. Loved the pool and spa. The ceiling in the pool area is being renovated but caused no issues for us. The game room and fire pit areas were a nice place to relax and they even had a talented guitarist playing. Really enjoyed him. The suggestions the concierge gave for dinner were absolutely the best! Southern Roots and The Full Moon Oyster Bar are not to be missed. Greensboro and Jamestown are beautiful with such friendly people.

Very odd treatment for this type of hotel The facility is excellent. Most of my staff interactions weee great. I rated it three stars because I thought two stars would be unfair. The room was great. The facility itself is gorgeous. All of the amenities are top notch. My problem is I chose this hotel because I was on a business trip. I went down after check in to see what time check out was and was told 11:00 but I could get a complimentary checkout of 12:00. I asked to please be given that. The staffer rather curtly said (eventually three straight times despite three different questions) “sir you will have to do that in the morning.” This made no sense to me but I said fine. We had a late night so my zooms and conference calls started immediately when I awakened. On my first break I, as instructed called for a late checkout. The front desk person, again curtly, asked for my room number, paused and then said no. “We only allow a certain number of those”. I explained how I was instructed. Again “sorry. That can not happen”. The last reason I was told is “we only accept those requests until 9:00 am”. I have travelled all over the country. I’ve never heard any of this ever. So I had to rush to put my things together and find a way to kill time in between meetings and I still don’t know why. I can not say I will never come back to the hotel but I can say I will not return if I have other realistic options. Not one word of that policy made sense to me and not one second of the curtness was earned or understandable.

Job had our company outing here. The food and staff were amazing! Also, the restrooms were very clean..that's a plus! I highly recommend this venue for any business or public event.

The Grandover Resort is GREAT! My stay at the Grandover Resort was fantastic! The location to the Triad made transit a breeze. It is one of the finest, most accessible resorts in the southeast! The rooms were so comfortable , the food tremendous. The bar experience was very nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Next time I’m there it’s golf and the spa! Do yourself a solid and give them a try.

Magnificent night at Grandover Resort I recently had the opportunity to return to my hometown of Greensboro for a night with friends which included a stay at Grandover Resort. This was my first stay, and I can now say from experience that Grandover Resort is top tier. From check in to check out the stay was seamless. The architecture is stunning, the room was clean and comfortable, and I had a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Finally, I will say that the employees of Grandover were all pleasant and helpful and know how to make you feel like a valued guest. I will stay here again soon.

Amazing grounds! My hubs and I stumbled on this hotel with Trip Advisor. We were unsure what to expect but it was amazing. The room was clean, crisp, and comfortable. Check in was quick and easy with plenty of parking. You can play golf, pool, tennis, & work out!

A surprising pampered experience I debated over which hotel to book on our recent Greensboro trip but ended up with this one due to the spa amenities. This was the right move, super clean, very friendly staff with helpful tips about the area. Great restaurants and beautiful scenery. The golf courses are immaculate and the spa services are top-notch. The more we ventured around the city the more we asked ourselves if there was actually a reason to leave the resort.

A hotel with no housekeeping service Disappointed. For the per night rate you would expect housekeeping every day. After a 12 hour day at a business conference, instead of going to sleep I had to call housekeeping at 10pm and stay up while I waited to the replenishment of coffee etc. housekeeping didn’t make the bed or replenished anything. I loved this resort and visited it almost every other month but now I am reconsidering where I stay for future business in Greensboro. When I tried to address the issue with a manager the only person at the front desk was unable to get a manager. For $345 per night I would hope it’s enough to have someone make the bed and leave a coffee pod.

1808 Bar My experience at 1808 was one for the books! Bartenders Halimo, Stacey and Jaray gave us a world class experience. From recommendations to stories we were entertained all night. If you ever stay at the Grandover be sure to request these three.

1808 Bar Halymo,Stacey & Jaray are the best bartenders. Very attentive and willing to make whatever drink you desire. They are both very friendly and make your bar experience one that you want to repeat! We definitely recommend stopping by and seeing them!

Resort 4* but food 3* (Wife 2*) at the Finial Restaurant! The resort is beautiful and the rooms spacious, well equipped and with Chrome cast HDTVs, allowing me via my iPad to stream 100s of my own videos/subscriptions. HOWEVER, the re-named Finial restaurant is a letdown (and consistently so, 3 2-day visits, dinner x6 over the years). This time the first night, we started with Caesar salads - the lettuce was not green nor fresh; wife had duck and dumplings - duck was overdone medium+ and dumplings doughy and thick; I had lamb chops, also overcooked and tasteless (some of the poorest lamb meat I've ever had); second night, special potato soup was lukewarm with little flavor/seasoning - wife had shrimp and grits, the shrimp were OK but the worst grits she has ever had - in a brown gravy sauce with no 'corn taste' - she had one bite. I had Chilean sea bass which was average but had a fishy smell - the accompanying grit cake was dry and with little flavor. The desserts each night were poor to mediocre; a blueberry crisp that was old with no fruit flavor and a mocha creme brûlée that tasted like chocolate pudding from a box. We plan not to return to the resort because there are no other decent dinner options at the hotel nor nearby.

Very comfortable Lovely accommodations. The Finial Restaurant is an exceptional hotel restaurant. There are several “spots” to enjoy the Carolina weather (pool, large patio off of the Cafe Espresso, outside at Finial). Safe sidewalks to get a morning walk in.

Beautiful but …. Beautiful resort Good food Staff could have it a little more together, esp the spa front desk. A lot of not knowing who’s on point to do what. Restaurant was good, but slow but might have been backed up bc of the bar. Doormen didn’t offer to help with bags or get a cart upping arrival. A server by the pool would be a good idea if feasible - to run drink orders back and forth so you don’t have to get up to go inside each time and struggle with the keycard locked door with full hands of drinks. Very clean and very beautiful with lots of local art and cuisine. If the staff was a little tighter it would be well worth the money. Room was very clean and beautiful, beds comfy, showers are very nice and big.

Nice Resort, Wyndham Needs to Staff it Better Great property, VERY understaffed. We were there midweek and it was pretty empty. Still, they had one server for a whole restaurant and the service was awful. Even the quick grab shop didn't have any small items we needed and the person working there was pretty clueless. Everywhere we went at the resort, people were friendly but they were poorly trained and in need of support which made it impossible to not have to leave the property for meals. Front desk people were great, rooms were nice, avoid the restaurants, pool are was nice though there were children under 10 completely unattended for hours and security folk said nothing.

The Grandover outdid itself again!!! Wonderful stay and F&B was spot on!! The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. The staff working clubhouse, the food and dinner events were so well executed. Thank you for a great experience.

Our room wasn’t ready at check-in time, causing for us, and a ton of guests to get ready in the cramped locker room with no AC, and our room still wasn’t ready at least 3 Hours after check-in time. I am very disappointed with my stay, I didn’t pay the amount I did, just to not have a room for majority of the time we needed it.

Rooms not ready until after checkin, had to wait in a long line at the front desk to be told we would “maybe” get a call when a room was ready. Front desk staff was not apologetic about not being able to check into a 4 star hotel until after 6. Had to cancel dinner resos and order room service to make it to concert on time. I get they were booked out the night before but it’s a 4 star hotel, I’d hope that’s the goal. Phone in the room didn’t work to call so had to use cell to get patched through to room service. Food was mediocre.

Enjoyed a one night stay when we came to Greensboro for our daughter & her friend to attend a concert. Dinner & service at Finial was very good. Enjoyed some live music in the 1808 bar area. Our room was very nice and comfortable. A great, quick getaway!
