Lindsay M.9/14/2024 - Not the best experience today. I went to return a suit that I bought a few days ago never worn. And the clerk an older women with a mask in the suit dept. said I couldn't return it because I didn't have the tags on the clothes even though I have my receipt. I told her I threw them away because I didn't think I'd need to return anything . She said Belks policy it that you have to have all the tags . So I drove 20 minutes home retrieved the tags drove back. Only to be met bye the same rude clerk who kept mumbling under her breath that the suit has been worn to another clerk at the desk.I told her I didn't appreciate being called a lier in front of everyone in the store. I called the Belk Southpark store today and was taken back by the fact that they now use a Call Center in a foreign country. They ask what department I would like, my name and the reason for my call! I was so offended by the fact that they don’t have Americans answering their phones. Not to mention how short staffed the store is, but they’ll spend money on a foreign call center- not Americans who need jobs! P.S. I give the clerks a 5 star review. P.S.S. Dawn R.9/08/2024 - I visited two different departments at Belk South Park, the ladies purses and ladies shoes. I must say the greetings were some of the best I’ve ever had in long time. Jacqueline assisted me in the purse department. I told her what I was searching for and she delivered. She showed me every small purpose, explained the different types of leather, the difference in price. Etc. upon entering the shoe department, I was greeted by Juan. He offered to help if I needed anything. I was browsing the square toe shoes when another salesman greets me. Last but not least, I browsed the clearance shoes. Salesman Derrick came over to greet me. He asked about my search and immediately walked me over to the Italian leather shoes. He explained the differences in the brands, leather, cost, etc. Derrick was extremely patient and knowledgeable. If I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought he was the owner of Belk. I immediately spoke with Derricks’s manager about his awesome customer service skills! Needless to say, I was able to purchase what I needed and I had a great experience!read moreread less

Austin H.3/20/2024 - It seems no one works here to help. I visited the beautiful bedding department. I did several laps around there was not a sales person in sight. I have difficulty walking; tire easily, so it was a real effort to get there to begin with. I knew if I found what I was looking for, that it would be big and bulky And I would need help getting it to my car. With no employee in sight to even help me with the purchase, I knew that the chances were slim that anyone would be able to help me get it to the car. Beautiful store; beautiful selection. Sadly just a glamorized big box store. Sad. I work for Belk a long time ago in Raleigh when we were absolutely full service. I’m sure the CLT store was like that too, once upon a time. Tried the shoe department and the lady there could not even help get the shoe size for the customers as she was the only cashier and helper there after waiting patiently for their help with other 4 people and a lady with a baby she never came to us as she was helping everybody that would stand in line to pay. Then they wonder why people are choosing online shopping. So I went up to her and ask when are you going to help us.? She was polite but didn’t even know what to say. Clearly she could had sent those people to pay somewhere else and help us as she wasn’t even on her registered but I know they just hate to look for shoes.! Is the truth then on top of that called the store manager never answered never had no assistance there and left a message for her and she hasn’t responded I don’t think she will ever do.
